Venezuela’s Vice President Issues Demand Amidst Trump’s Claim of ‘Capturing’ Leader and Spouse

After Donald Trump’s remarks about the capture of the Venezuelan president, the vice president has called on the US for action.

In the early hours of Saturday, the US military carried out strikes targeting Venezuela’s capital, Caracas.

Trump later announced on social media that the mission was successful, claiming that Venezuelan President Maduro and his wife had been seized by the US.

Venezuela’s Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, stated that the government is unaware of the president’s whereabouts and has demanded ‘immediate proof of life’ for both individuals.
