Kai Trump shares unique perspective on dating life under constant Secret Service watch

Kai Trump has opened up about the unique challenges of dating while being accompanied by Secret Service agents.

Finding romance can be difficult under normal circumstances, but the added pressure of having two armed bodyguards nearby can make things even more complicated. Imagine trying to gauge your date’s interest while knowing they are under the watchful eye of security personnel.

On the flip side, if the date isn’t going well, having Secret Service agents around could provide an easy exit strategy rather than making a discreet escape.

Kai, the eldest granddaughter of Donald Trump, discussed how having security details affects her personal life during an appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast.

“It’s really awkward when you’re sitting and going on a date with a guy and they’re like two tables behind you, it’s like, a little weird,” she noted. “My thing is I try to try my best not to like let it bother me.”

She shared how she has adjusted since her grandfather assumed the presidency.

“I think I’ve learned, especially the past year now, it’s been pretty much a year since he’s become president, is I’ve had to learn to kind of… yes they’re following me, but also focus and like pretend that they’re not there,” Kai explained.

Overall, she makes an effort to ignore the presence of the agents.

She added: “Like also they’re there, but if you can try not really focusing on that and more enjoying your time with your friends, your family, whatever it is, it makes it easier.

“Because, like, for these first few months, it was tough. It was not easy having someone following you all the time and like planning if you’re going out somewhere where you’re like, ‘oh, I’m leaving in five minutes’.”

This is a stark contrast to a more ordinary life where such considerations aren’t necessary.

“You don’t really think about that stuff because if you live a normal life, you kind of just go out of your house and leave, you don’t have to like plan every single second,” Kai remarked.

Ultimately, she has learned to block out the distractions.

“So that was kind of tough, but I think literally once I was like their only job is to kind of protect me, I’m going to focus on myself and have them do their job,” she concluded.

“It made it so much easier.”
