Mark Ruffalo recently voiced his concerns regarding the president’s approach to global matters.
The Golden Globes took place last night, drawing a host of celebrities to the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles for the glamorous event.
By this morning in the UK, there was much to discuss from the evening’s events: from Jennifer Lawrence’s daring attire and Snoop Dogg’s bleeped-out remark, to a seemingly ‘tense’ moment between Timotheé Chalamet and Kylie Jenner.
Beyond these highlights, observers may have noticed a recurring theme: attendees wearing a ‘BE GOOD’ pin.
The pins were worn in memory of Renee Good, a 37-year-old woman who was tragically shot by an ICE officer in Minneapolis last week.
Among those wearing the pin was Marvel actor Mark Ruffalo, who spoke about it on the red carpet.

While speaking to USA Today, Ruffalo explained: “This is for Renee Nicole Goode, who was murdered.”
He also criticized the current state of America, mentioning JD Vance and President Donald Trump. The Spotlight actor stated: “We have a vice president who’s lying about what’s happening.
“We’re in the middle of a war with Venezuela that we illegally invaded. [Trump’s] telling the world that international law doesn’t matter to him.
“The only thing that matters to him is his own morality, but the guy is a convicted felon; a convicted rapist.”
“He’s a pedophile,” Ruffalo continued. “He’s the worst human being. If we’re relying on this guy’s morality for the most powerful country in the world, then we’re all in a lot of trouble.”
Ruffalo said the pin also represents ‘people in the United States who are terrorized and scared today’, noting that he counts himself among them.
“I love this country. And what I’m seeing here happening is not America,” he concluded his comments.
The White House was reached out for a response to Ruffalo’s statements.
Wanda Sykes also wore the pin during the event.
She told Variety about the significance of the pin, emphasizing the need to ‘shut this rogue government down’.

“It’s awful what they are doing to people,” Sykes commented in her interview with Variety.
The campaign for these pins was backed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), in collaboration with Maremoto, Move On, National Domestic Workers Alliance, and Working Families Power.
The groups stated: “The #BeGood campaign aims to honor Renée Macklin Good and Keith Porter while also reminding us what it means to be good to one another in the face of such horror—to be a good citizen, neighbor, friend, ally and human.”

Keith Porter was fatally shot by an off-duty ICE officer on December 31 in Northridge, LA.
It was reported that Porter was allegedly holding a gun, though his family disputes this claim, according to The Los Angeles Times.
