The phenomenon of fan theories surrounding “Stranger Things” seems unlikely to fade away anytime soon.
The beloved Netflix show recently concluded its run after a decade on the streaming service, leaving audiences with mixed feelings about its final episode.
Given the show’s popularity and the attachment fans have to it, some level of disappointment was expected. As they say, all good things must come to an end.
One aspect that left viewers speculating was the somewhat ambiguous conclusion for Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown.
The question remains: did she meet her end, or could Mike’s speculation that she survived and found a way to escape hold some truth? It seems we may never have a definitive answer.
The only ones who seem to know Eleven’s fate are Brown herself and the creators of the series, Matt and Ross Duffer.

Some fans were convinced that an additional episode would follow the finale, but this hasn’t materialized.
Nevertheless, fans of “Stranger Things” have been given a new behind-the-scenes documentary that details the making of the final season.
This documentary, titled “One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5,” is now available on Netflix as of January 12.
Eager viewers have scrutinized the new documentary closely, even analyzing the tabs open on the Duffer Brothers’ laptops during one scene.

As usual, dedicated fans of “Stranger Things” have concocted theories based on glimpses of the screenwriters’ workspace.
One theory making the rounds is that the Duffer Brothers utilized both ChatGPT and Reddit in crafting the final script.
According to a post by the Stranger Things Memes Twitter page: “Duffer Brothers had a Reddit tab open while writing the Stranger Things 5 ending.”
This sparked responses such as: “Maybe he was checking out fan theories for inspiration?” and “So they really used chatgpt for this script? Wtf.” Another comment read: “Who on Reddit is responsible for the terrible ending??”
One fan speculated: “So they really were cross checking if any of their ideas are part of theories already and went on to scrap them.”
Yet another quipped: “Duffer Brothers really saw ‘fan theories’ trending and went ‘hold my script rewrite’.”

Given the extensive time and effort put into writing and filming the fifth season of “Stranger Things,” it’s doubtful that ChatGPT played a significant role in the process.
Furthermore, the Duffer Brothers have previously mentioned that they had envisioned the series’ conclusion well before the finale, making it unlikely they relied on Reddit for assistance.
Let’s give them a break!
