A woman with a rare condition involving two vaginas decided to address the myriad of questions people had about her situation.
While many people consider themselves to be in good health, some individuals have unique conditions that distinguish them.
One such woman, fully aware of her distinctiveness, chose to hold an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Reddit on January 15 to share her experiences.
She disclosed her condition of having two vaginas, realizing the curiosity it sparked among people.
Although the original post has been removed by moderators, some of her responses to various questions remain accessible.
Her condition is likely uterus didelphys, which can present numerous challenges.
As per the Cleveland Clinic, it is a ‘rare congenital condition where you’re born with two uteruses. It’s commonly called a double uterus’.

The site also mentions that it can lead to pregnancy issues and painful periods. While some might undergo surgery for uterus didelphys, many cases don’t necessitate treatment.
This condition affects about 0.3 percent of the population, making it one of the rarest uterine anomalies.
So, which questions did the woman find herself responding to on her post?
The first frequently asked question related to her anatomy was: “Are they left/right or top/bottom? Like… The openings. You said it looks ‘normal’, but… How?”
She clarified: “They’re left and right. It’s more like one opening that divides it into two sides rather than two separate openings, if that makes sense. So you can’t really tell from the outside unless you really spread it open.”

Other questions often revolved around her menstrual cycle and if she experienced two periods each month.
She explained: “Yes I get two periods at the same time and I could potentially get pregnant in both at the same time.”
She also mentioned that her periods are exceptionally painful, causing her severe cramps and leading to episodes where she has ‘vomited and passed out’ multiple times.
Another popular inquiry, for understandable reasons, was about the impact of her condition on her sex life.
Fortunately for her, having two vaginas hasn’t significantly altered her experiences in the bedroom.
She shared: “It’s different in the sense that there’s an additional hole than can be ‘used’ but other than that it’s pretty normal. It hasn’t really affected my relationships.”
Additionally, she prefers using the right one during intercourse as it feels more comfortable, which is a positive aspect for her.
