White House discusses how mass deportations are ‘enhancing quality of life’ as Joe Rogan likens ICE to the Gestapo

The White House has stated that mass deportations are ‘improving Americans’ quality of life’ in an article published on its website.

This comes amidst ongoing challenges for Americans with the cost of living, following the implementation of strict tariffs on imported goods by Donald Trump.

In the unusual article on the White House’s website, it argues that executing mass deportations is ‘freeing up resources, revitalizing opportunity, and restoring safety — delivering tangible results that put American citizens first’.

This assertion follows closely on the heels of an incident where ICE agents fatally shot US citizen and mother of three, Renee Nicole Good, in Minneapolis. Additionally, two weeks prior, US citizen Keith Porter Jr. was killed by an off-duty ICE agent on New Year’s Eve.

Trump’s approval ratings had been declining ahead of the midterms, particularly on his administration’s key focus areas like immigration. However, his ratings have stabilized since the ICE-related incidents at the start of the year.

The article links mass deportations with issues such as housing costs, employment, jobs, and crime, associating these matters with Trump’s immigration policy.

The Trump administration has faced significant criticism over its immigration policies, which have resulted in people being apprehended by ICE agents at their homes, workplaces, and even while in their vehicles.

One of the article’s claims involves drawing a connection between property prices and areas with ‘largest illegal migrant populations’.

Despite the language of ‘illegal’, it is important to note that under US law, overstaying a visa or entering the country irregularly is deemed a civil, not a criminal, matter.

The White House also criticized ‘sanctuary cities’—municipalities that have pledged not to assist or cooperate with ICE operations.

The article specifically mentioned Seattle, Chicago, and Philadelphia, suggesting that rising housing costs in these cities were a result of their ‘sanctuary city’ status.

Meanwhile, podcast host Joe Rogan has likened ICE to the Gestapo, the secret police of Nazi Germany.

He remarked: “You don’t want militarized people in the streets, just roaming around snatching people up many of which turn out to actually be US citizens, they just don’t have their papers on them.

“Are we really gonna be the Gestapo, ‘where’s your papers?’ Is that what we’ve come to?”

Though Rogan has shown support for Trump in the past, he expressed criticism after the shooting of Renee Nicole Good, stating: “…It just looked horrific to me. When people say it’s justifiable because the car hit him, it seemed like she was turning the car away.”
