Quinton Aaron, the actor best known for his role alongside Sandra Bullock in a heartfelt biopic, has been described as being in a ‘critical condition’ after experiencing a fall at his residence.
Aaron, who portrayed the former NFL player Michael Oher in the 2009 film The Blind Side, has been encountering various health challenges since the film’s release.
The Blind Side narrates the story of Michael Oher, focusing on his high school and college football journey, and is based on Michael Lewis’s book of the same name.
Aaron received acclaim for his performance, and subsequently secured roles in 59 projects from 2009 onward. Despite his professional success, his health has been a significant concern.
In March of the previous year, the actor was urgently taken to a hospital due to symptoms of coughing up blood and a fever. In 2021, he was diagnosed with diabetes, which motivated him to lose 200 pounds.
However, his health remains a persistent issue.

According to TMZ, the actor is now ‘fighting for his life’ following a significant fall at his home.
A GoFundMe campaign created to assist with his medical expenses indicates that Aaron has a ‘severe blood infection.’
In a statement to the Daily Mail, Aaron’s manager, Katrina Fristoe, mentioned that he is ‘receiving excellent medical care’ and is with his family. TMZ reported that he was hospitalized in Atlanta last week for three days.
She further stated: “The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of support from fans and the media but respectfully requests privacy during this time.”
According to his manager, Aaron was ascending the steps to his home when he lost control of his legs and fell.
The GoFundMe page mentioned that Aaron was on ‘life support,’ but Fristoe informed the outlet that the actor is now ‘stable’. Nevertheless, additional tests are being conducted to determine the cause of his fall.

In 2023, Aaron disclosed to the American Heart Association that he had previously been diagnosed with congestive heart failure.
With a family history of heart disease and heart failure, Aaron is at an increased risk for these conditions.
The GoFundMe page shares: “Many of you know Quinton Aaron as the gentle giant who brought Michael Oher to life in The Blind Side alongside Sandra Bullock. But those who truly know Quinton know something even more powerful than his performances on screen — his heart.”
It continues: “Quinton is currently hospitalized and on life support due to a severe blood infection. This has been sudden, frightening, and overwhelming for his loved ones.
“As he fights for his life, his family is facing an immense emotional and financial burden — medical expenses, living costs, and the uncertainty of how long this road to recovery may be.”
