Trevor Noah made his position clear about Nicki Minaj following her recent remarks about the president and the Trump administration.
Noah is the host of tonight’s Grammy Awards (February 1), and after the performance of ‘APT’ by Bruno Mars and Rosé, he mingled with the audience to engage with celebrities.
He acknowledged the presence of stars like Pharrell Williams, Jelly Roll, Miley Cyrus, and Bad Bunny — but one notable absence is Nicki Minaj.
Minaj has been in the spotlight recently for showing support to the Trump administration, and she reportedly received a controversial $1,000,000 Gold Card from the former president.
However, a White House official later clarified that the card given to the ‘Starships’ artist was merely a keepsake.

Considering her absence from the Grammys and her connections to the Trump administration, Noah didn’t hesitate to criticize the rapper in front of her industry colleagues.
“Nicki Minaj is not here,” he remarked, as Chrissy Teigen gave a thumbs up to the camera.
“She is still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues.”
Noah humorously suggested that these ‘important discussions’ were about who has the largest backside.
In response to Noah’s comment, someone tweeted: “Not the crowd cheering extra loud after he said ‘Nicki Minaj is not here’.”
Another viewer of the Grammys echoed this, saying: “LMFAOOOO Trevor Noah shading Nicki Minaj saying she isn’t in the room tonight then everyone immediately cheering is CRAZY.”

“The way I gasped! He really went there with that one lol,” added a third person.
“Trevor Noah woke up and chose chaos,” wrote someone else.
More details to come.
