Snoop Dogg speaks out following the tragic passing of his 10-month-old granddaughter

Snoop Dogg has expressed a quiet message of support following the heartbreaking news shared by his daughter, Cori Broadus, about the loss of her 10-month-old daughter.

Recently, followers observed an emotional change in Cori’s Instagram posts, with heart-wrenching messages surfacing. Though no immediate details were given, it was evident that she was dealing with something deeply personal, leading to a wave of support from fans and celebrities.

On Saturday, January 31, Cori revealed the devastating news on her Instagram Story about the loss of her baby daughter, Codi Dreaux. She wrote: “Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi.”

Codi Dreaux faced significant health issues from birth. She was born prematurely by three months in February 2025 and spent much of her life in the hospital undergoing extensive treatment in the neonatal intensive care unit.

Despite these hurdles, there was a moment of optimism earlier this year when Cori happily announced Codi’s discharge from the hospital. At that time, she expressed her gratitude online, saying: “She’s home. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”

Tragically, this period of hope was short-lived.

In the wake of Cori’s announcement, Snoop Dogg responded in a subtle yet meaningful manner.

Instead of releasing a statement, the rapper posted a family photo on Instagram that included Cori. He accompanied it with a red heart and prayer hands emojis.

The post rapidly garnered hundreds of thousands of likes along with numerous comments, where fans shared condolences and supportive messages. Many loaded the comments section with prayer emojis and warm words, standing by the family during this incredibly difficult period.

One fan commented: “Sending love and positive energy to the whole family.”

Another said: “Praying for yall my heart goes out.”

Actress and comedian Luenell Campbell added: “The Prayers from ALL of us for this Family and the Father’s family as Well are Sincere and Heartfelt.”

Cori later reposted her earlier message about bringing Codi home, overlaying it with a poignant note: “20 days later?! dawg im sick.”

Codi’s father, Wayne Duece, who is Cori’s fiancé, also paid tribute on Instagram, sharing: “I’ve been the saddest since u left me, Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you. My baby.”

Adding to the sorrow, Cori shared a post from her daughter’s nurse, who reflected on caring for Codi in her last days. The nurse expressed: “I been sad for 6 days straight.

“Being a nurse has its ups and downs and this is the biggest down I ever experienced.

“It was such a pleasure being mybabygirls nurse. I gave her one last bath told her I loved her and didn’t even know I was getting her ready for Heaven.”
