The most significant tremor was a 4.2-magnitude earthquake near San Ramon just after 7 am, which followed a 3.7-magnitude quake occurring about 30 minutes prior, and another measuring 3.3 soon after. These details were reported by the US Geological Survey through NBC Sports.
The region recorded a total of up to eight minor quakes.
There were reports of tremors being felt in downtown San Francisco, the location set to launch Super Bowl activities, but fortunately, no significant damage or serious injuries have been reported.
