Turning Point USA unveils different halftime show lineup, leaving fans discontent

Turning Point USA has unveiled its lineup for an alternative Super Bowl halftime performance, but it hasn’t been warmly received by everyone.

This event was designed to offer a different viewing option to Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl 60 performance scheduled for Sunday, February 8.

Organized by the political group Turning Point USA, initially led by the late Charlie Kirk and now headed by his widow Erika as CEO, the show has been announced on their official website.

The All American Halftime Show will feature acts like Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett. However, the reaction from the public has been mixed.

On social media, people have expressed their opinions about the lineup, with many previously hoping for conservative country artist Jason Aldean to be included.

Regrettably for those fans, Aldean is not part of the lineup.

On social media platform X, one user commented, “Anyone else disappointed? Honestly your marketing team could have did a better job on this flyer and advertising this event.”

Another user wrote, “I’ll be watching but I am a little disappointed in this lineup. Going to struggle getting Gen Z to care.”

Other feedback included: “I knew it would be Kid Rock and 3 people I’ve never heard of,” while someone else remarked, “Y’all remember that TPUSA Halftime show they announced and everyone was like ‘Get Creed’ and ‘I hope they don’t get someone like Kid Rock’. They got Kid Rock….”

Nonetheless, some individuals are excited about the lineup.

One supporter said, “This is going to be massive! Is everyone tuning in?”

Another exclaimed, “Can’t wait to see Kid Rock & the crew rock the halftime stage! Who’s your top pick?”

As expected, there has been some criticism regarding the possibility of Bad Bunny performing in Spanish for an American audience.

Donald Trump remarked in an October 2025 interview with Newsmax, “I’ve never heard of him. I don’t know who he is. I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s, like, crazy.”

Bad Bunny achieved a historic milestone at the 2026 Grammys by winning Album of the Year on February 1 and has consistently expressed his commitment to performing in his native language.

While hosting Saturday Night Live in October 2025, he humorously advised the audience they had ‘four months to learn’ Spanish ahead of his show.

TPUSA’s halftime event will be streamed live on Turning Point USA’s social media platforms, along with outlets like The Daily Wire and Trinity Broadcasting Network.
