Authorities are currently examining reports concerning alleged ransom notes connected to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
Nancy Guthrie, the mother of renowned TV presenter Savannah Guthrie, went missing from her residence in Catalina Foothills, Arizona, on January 31.
Concerns have arisen that the 84-year-old may have been abducted. As a result, her home is being treated as an active crime scene by investigators.
During a press briefing on February 2, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department stated: “At this point, investigators believe she was taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night. Taken against her will includes possible kidnapping or abduction.”
Reports from KOLD-TV indicate there were indications of forced entry into Nancy’s home.
Speculation regarding abduction is further fueled by claims of ransom notes being present.

According to reports, TMZ received one of these notes on February 3, demanding a substantial Bitcoin payment to a specific address for Nancy’s release.
The police have confirmed they are investigating these ransom notes but have yet to determine their authenticity.
“We are aware of reports circulating about possible ransom note(s) regarding the investigation into Nancy Guthrie. We are taking all tips and leads very seriously,” stated the sheriff’s department.
They further elaborated: “Anything that comes in, goes directly to our detectives who are coordinating with the FBI.”
The department shared a QR code, enabling the public to submit information or tips that might assist in locating Nancy.
