Logan Paul Criticizes Brother Jake Paul Over ‘Racist’ Remarks on Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Performance

Logan Paul found himself in the spotlight after criticizing his brother Jake Paul’s remarks about Bad Bunny, who has been embroiled in controversy for being selected to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show.

Despite his immense popularity as a worldwide music sensation, Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has encountered significant criticism since his announcement as the headliner for the Super Bowl halftime performance.

Critics, particularly conservatives, have expressed dissatisfaction with his selection, noting the artist’s previous statements about not performing in English regardless of the setting.

Even though his 15-minute performance received acclaim from many, former President Donald Trump, a long-time critic of the rapper’s selection, voiced his disapproval on social media.

Jake Paul joined the chorus of dissenters, urging people to boycott the halftime show in a post on X, which some have labeled as having racist undertones.

In his message, he stated: “Purposefully turning off the halftime show.

“Let’s rally together and show big corporations they can’t just do whatever they want without consequences.

“(which equals viewership for them) You are their benefit. Realize you have power.

“Turn off this halftime. A fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America. I cannot support that.”

Critics were quick to point out that Bad Bunny is indeed an American citizen, as Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory.

Others argued that criticizing America does not equate to hating the country.

One social media user condemned Paul’s comments as racist, stating: “Fake American? What’s our First Lady? A fake American? Y’all so racist, just admit it.”

Another frustrated user commented: “They pick and choose. Whomever trump is against, they are against. They’re a bunch of f****** puppets.”

Someone else noted: “Let’s not pretend that if the Super Bowl was streaming on Netflix you’d be saying this 😂.

“If Netflix wanted bad bunny to perform on your next fight, you’d be promoting it.

“You’re bought and sold just like everyone else.”

In a surprising turn, Logan Paul publicly criticized his brother Jake’s comments, taking to social media to express his disagreement.

He stated: “I love my brother but I don’t agree with this.

“Puerto Ricans are Americans & I’m happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island.”
