Drew Barrymore discloses surprising method she used to join the mile high club that ‘proved effective’

Drew Barrymore has shared her unique experience of joining the ‘mile high club’.

On February 9, Drew Barrymore, known for her role in Charlie’s Angels, engaged in a conversation and a game of ping pong with Kaley Cuoco from The Big Bang Theory on The Drew Barrymore Show.

As they played, talk turned to adventurous sexual experiences. Barrymore asked Cuoco if she had ever been part of the ‘mile high club,’ which refers to having sex on an airplane.

Cuoco, 40, replied, “No, I have not. 100% no,” but Barrymore, who starred in E.T., smiled and nodded when the camera turned to her.

Cuoco remarked: “I figured! You’re a wild child.”

Barrymore, 50, went on to share more about her experience, including where it took place.

While many might expect such an event to occur on a private jet, Barrymore admitted it happened on an American Airlines flight.

When Cuoco asked if it was challenging to accomplish, Barrymore responded: “No. It worked well.”

Cuoco commented on the seating, saying: “Good seating? It kinda morphs to your… I could see that.”

Barrymore then revealed: “He was in the bathroom,” before realizing her revelation and hiding her face with her paddle.

“Did I say that out loud?!” she exclaimed.

This wasn’t the first time Barrymore spoke about her in-flight adventures. In February 2024, she also shared the story with Christina Aguilera, who was familiar with the concept.

“Doesn’t it feel wild?” Barrymore asked Aguilera, suggesting that she ‘recommends’ the experience.

She added: “It’s not the same. If you’re curious, like, ‘Why are people doing it?’ I’m telling you, elevation, it feels different. I can’t recommend it more – sorry FAA!”

Aguilera, however, revealed that she had joined the club ‘multiple times’ due to frequent travel.

Despite the topic being popular, a flight attendant noted that actual attempts are rare.

Mandy Smith, who wrote Cabin Fever: The Sizzling Secrets of a Virgin Air Hostess, shared: “I would say one in twenty or thirty flights. Not really that often.”

Regarding what she would do if she encountered such a situation, she added: “If it’s on a night flight and they’re being discreet, I probably wouldn’t even interrupt them if I’m honest.”
