Are aliens among us? Barack Obama has addressed this intriguing question.
The former President of the United States surprised many by suggesting that aliens might be ‘real’. This revelation came during an interview with Brian Tyler Cohen.
In the interview, Cohen directly asked Obama: “Are aliens real?”
Obama responded: “Uh, they’re real, but I haven’t seen them.”
He went on to clarify various speculations about Area 51, the enigmatic US military site in Nevada often linked with UFO and alien theories.
“They’re not being kept in uh, what is it? Area 51!” Obama told Cohen, adding, “There’s no underground facility unless there’s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the President of the United States.”
Cohen then inquired: “What was the first question you wanted answered when you became president?”
Obama humorously replied: “Where are the aliens?”
Following the interview, not only conspiracy enthusiasts but a broader audience took Obama’s remarks as potential evidence of extraterrestrial presence, leading him to clarify his comments from the playful ‘speed round’ conversation.
Obama doesn’t question the possibility of life elsewhere in the universe but highlighted the immense gaps between us and other solar systems, noting there’s no proof aliens have reached Earth.
In a caption for the viral interview clip on Instagram, Obama stated: “I was trying to stick with the spirit of the speed round, but since it’s gotten attention let me clarify. Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there’s life out there. But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we’ve been visited by aliens is low, and I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really!”
While we shouldn’t anticipate encounters with extraterrestrials anytime soon, the vastness of the universe continues to fascinate. Thanks, Obama.
