Police have shared a fresh update on the investigation involving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor after the former prince was arrested last week on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
Thames Valley Police previously said a man in his 60s had been arrested “on suspicion of misconduct in public office”, adding that officers were carrying out searches at properties in Berkshire and Norfolk.
Following several hours of questioning, the former Prince Andrew was released while enquiries continued.
In the days since, officers have remained at the Royal Lodge in Berkshire, a residence previously associated with the former prince, as part of their ongoing work.
On Tuesday (February 24), Thames Valley Police confirmed the Berkshire search had now ended, though the wider investigation is still described as “ongoing”. Police also indicated that further public updates are not expected imminently.

Oliver Wright, Assistant Chief Constable at Thames Valley Police, said in a statement: “Officers have now left the location we have been searching in Berkshire. This concludes the search activity that commenced following our arrest of a man in his sixties from Norfolk on Thursday.
“We understand the significant public interest in this case and our investigation remains ongoing.
“It is important that our investigators are given the time and space to progress their work. We will provide updates when it is appropriate to do so, but this is unlikely to be for some time.”
The update follows political criticism aimed at the former prince after UK MPs supported the release of documents related to his appointment as a trade envoy.

Trade minister Sir Chris Bryant said the files would be released “as soon as is practicable and possible within the law” during remarks in the House of Commons on Tuesday.
The Labour MP described Andrew as “rude, arrogant and entitled” and also called him “a man on a constant self-aggrandising and self-enriching hustle”.
Separately, the governments of New Zealand and Australia have supported proposals to remove the former prince from the line of succession.
Police are examining a complaint alleging confidential material was shared with Jeffrey Epstein during Andrew’s time as a trade envoy, a role he held from 2001 to 2011.
The 66-year-old has faced allegations in recent years from Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre. Giuffre, who died by suicide in April last year, alleged she was forced to have sex with Andrew in the early 2000s when she was 17.
Andrew has consistently denied wrongdoing.
