Trump says there will be no deal with Iran until a specific surrender is agreed

Donald Trump has outlined what he says he wants from Iran in the coming days, insisting there will be no agreement at this stage.

With conflict continuing between Iran, Israel and the US, uncertainty remains over what happens next for the Middle Eastern nation.

After an attack carried out by Israel and the US on February 28, Iran’s leader, Supreme Leader Ali Hosseini Khamenei, was killed.

The development has prompted renewed questions about what Washington expects Iran to do moving forward.

In a Truth Social post shared today (March 6), Trump spelled out his position on what should happen next.

In the post, he wrote: “There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER! After that, and the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before.

“IRAN WILL HAVE A GREAT FUTURE. “MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!).” Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

According to CNN, Trump also addressed what kind of leadership he would like to see in Iran, saying he is not focused on whether the country becomes democratic and is instead seeking leaders who will treat the US and Israel favorably.

In a phone call with the outlet, he said: “Iran is not the same country it was a week ago. A week ago they were powerful, and now they’ve been indeed neutered.”

He also suggested he should have a role in the selection of Iran’s next leader, drawing a comparison to US involvement in Venezuela earlier this year.

He added: “It’s gonna work very easily. It’s going to work like did in Venezuela. We have a wonderful leader there. She’s doing a fantastic job. And it’s going to work Iike in Venezuela.”

Trump also indicated he would consider the idea of a religious figure taking Iran’s top position.

He commented: “Well I may be yeah, I mean, it depends on who the person is. I don’t mind religious leaders. I deal with a lot of religious leaders and they are fantastic.

“I’m saying there has to be a leader that’s going be fair and just. Do a great job. Treat the United States and Israel well, and treat the other countries in the Middle East — they’re all our partners.”
