Man dubbed ‘China’s Nostradamus’ shared his honest prediction on how Iran war will end

A man dubbed ‘China’s Nostradamus’ has weighed in with a fresh prediction about the Iran war now unfolding.

On February 28, U.S.-backed Israeli strikes hit targets across Iran, focusing on military and government locations. The attacks reportedly killed Ali Khamenei along with other high-ranking officials.

Iran responded with retaliatory missile attacks, and the escalation has been described by analysts as the beginning of the 2026 Iran war. The fighting has already driven global oil prices higher, with Donald Trump arguing the rise is “a small price to pay” for “safety and peace.”

With aerial bombardments continuing and Iran striking back— including attacks affecting oil infrastructure and other sites around neighbouring Gulf states—questions are mounting over how far the US-Iran conflict could spread. Now, a worrying projection about where this confrontation leads has resurfaced.

Chinese-Canadian educator and presenter Professor Xueqin Jiang has built a sizeable online audience after sharing three major predictions in 2024. Two of them later appeared to come true, including his claim that Donald Trump would win the election again.

Another of his forecasts warned: “If he [Trump] does become president in a second term, there will be a very strong likelihood that the United States will go to war with Iran.

Jiang has also said a key driver for any US confrontation with Iran would align with Israeli interests. Operation Epic Fury is the codename given to the joint US–Israeli campaign launched on February 28 2026, aimed at Iran’s missile sites, nuclear-related facilities, and wider military infrastructure.

The Yale College graduate’s third prediction went even further, arguing that such a conflict would end badly for Washington. He has outlined why he thinks that outcome is plausible—and why it could reshape international power dynamics in lasting ways.

“The third big prediction is that the United States will lose the war, which will forever change the global order.”

He added: “If this war [US-Iran] were to happen, there’s absolutely no way America can win this war.”

Jiang has also appeared on the US news programme Breaking Points with Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti, where he expanded on how he believes the current fighting could develop.

In the segment, uploaded to YouTube on March 2, he said: “Given my analysis of how the war is progressing, I think that Iran has many more advantages over the United States. The reality is, right now, it’s a war of attrition between the United States and Iran, and Iranians have been preparing 20 years for this conflict.”

He continued: “They’ve had many practice runs. Last June was a 12-day war when the Iranians were able to examine and analyse the strike capacities of both the Israelis and the Americans. And they have had a lot of time, eight months, to prepare fully for this new attack.”
