Bonnie Blue charged with outraging public decency after ‘fake sex act’ at embassy

Adult content creator Bonnie Blue is facing fresh legal scrutiny after allegedly carrying out a sexual display outside a foreign embassy in central London.

The 26-year-old, whose real name is Tia Billinger, was filmed on Great Peter Street near the Indonesian Embassy. In the footage, she appears to make a lewd gesture while holding the Indonesian flag.

The alleged incident could lead to a prosecution for the common law offence of outraging public decency. The offence can apply to deliberate acts that are considered “lewd, obscene or disgusting” and are visible to at least two members of the public. If convicted, she could face up to six months behind bars or a fine of up to £5,000 ($6,679).

This is said to have taken place on December 15, not long after Billinger was removed from Indonesia earlier the same month. That earlier episode followed a “bang bus”-style stunt involving a tuk-tuk, which authorities said breached local morality rules.

While she was later said to have avoided more serious findings in Indonesia and instead received a relatively small penalty connected to working without the correct paperwork, the performer—known for deliberately provocative content—has been accused of staging the embassy act the day she returned to the UK.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed a charge has now been brought, following an investigation and a referral to prosecutors.

“A woman has been charged with outraging public decency following an investigation by the Met Police.

“Tia Billinger, of Draycott in Derbyshire, was charged via postal requisition on Monday, 16 March. She will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 22 April.

“The charge relates to an incident in Great Peter Street, SW1 on Monday, 15 December.

“An investigation took place, and a woman in her 20s was interviewed under caution on Tuesday, 2 February. A referral was made to the Crown Prosecution Service which subsequently authorised the above charge.”

In the clip recorded outside the embassy, Billinger addresses the camera and references her earlier detention overseas.

“Yes, I got arrested in Bali for filming…….[mimes sex act]. So that’s why I came to the embassy – so they would watch it in person.”

Her arrest followed contact from Indonesian authorities, who reportedly passed the footage to London police, according to the Jakarta Globe.

“The red and white flag is a symbol of sovereignty, honor, and national identity that must be respected by everyone, wherever they are,” Indonesian diplomat Yvonne Mewengkang said.

Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority country, has long enforced strict standards around public morality. Billinger’s recent trip had already drawn attention after police in Bali allegedly intervened while she was filming with a group of 17 young men.

At the time, a government spokesperson said Billinger’s stunts were “inconsistent with the government’s efforts to maintain Bali’s quality tourism image”.

Billinger is due at a London magistrates’ court next month, where she is expected to enter a plea to the allegation of outraging public decency.

Because of UK contempt of court rules, further detail about the specific claim is limited until the case concludes and she is either convicted or cleared and, if relevant, sentenced.
