Melania Trump warning of ‘consequences’ to those responsible for Barron photo

A photo said to show Barron Trump has reportedly upset Melania Trump, with claims that the First Lady is weighing legal options against whoever shared the image.

The picture is believed to have been taken over the holiday period at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property. Barron is said to have been photographed walking behind his father, the president, while moving through a dining area.

A source told journalist Rob Shuter that Trump’s teenage son was ‘solemnly following his father through the dining room. He was quiet, very reserved, wearing his usual blue suit, almost mirroring Donald. He didn’t smile or interact much’.

The claim is that Mar-a-Lago club members took the photo without permission, and that it later spread online.

The source close to Shuter added: “Melania made it very clear that Barron’s privacy is non-negotiable, anyone caught filming or taking pictures would face immediate consequences, including potential banning from the club.”

Meanwhile, another source added: “The message was clear: no cameras, no leaks. Private family moments stay private.”

The report comes shortly after Melania was referenced during the Oscars on Sunday (March 15), when host Jimmy Kimmel made jokes aimed at the Trump administration.

“Fortunately, for all of us, there is an international community of filmmakers dedicated to telling the truth, oftentimes at great risk, to make films that teach us, that call out injustice, that inspire us to take action. And there are also documentaries where you walk around the White House trying on shoes,” the talk show host said.

Though Kimmel didn’t name the president напрямую, he continued with another quip:

“Oh man, is he going to be mad his wife wasn’t nominated for this.”

The joke was interpreted as a nod to the Amazon documentary Melania, which arrived on the streaming service earlier this year.

The film follows Melania in the weeks leading up to her return to the White House after Trump’s 2024 election win.

Reports have claimed Amazon paid $40 million for exclusive behind-the-scenes access, although Melania has stressed that money wasn’t the motivation for taking part.

“I’m very proud of the film so people may like it, may don’t like it, and that’s their choice,” she previously told CNN. “We achieved what we want to achieve. For myself, it’s already successful. I’m very proud of what we did.”
