Cruz Beckham hits out at brother for ‘breaking mama’s heart’ in family feud

Cruz Beckham’s new song “loneliest boy” is prompting fresh speculation that he’s aiming pointed lyrics at his older brother Brooklyn — and that the family drama is still far from settled.

The 21-year-old has been performing the track while touring with his band, The Breakers, as he continues trying to turn music into a serious career path. Cruz first released a song, If Every Day Was Christmas, back when he was 11, a debut that drew widespread criticism at the time.

Now older and leaning into a stripped-back indie-rock direction, he’s also delivering words that some listeners believe echo the rift that has played out within the Beckham family.

Early in the song, Cruz addresses a “loneliest boy,” describing someone who can “find something bad in somebody good,” and adding that “he always does.”

Those lines are being interpreted by some as a swipe at Brooklyn Beckham, amid reports that tensions between Brooklyn and the rest of the family intensified publicly earlier this year.

In a long Instagram post, 27-year-old Brooklyn previously shared his perspective on a dispute involving his mother, Victoria, and his then fiancée Nicola Peltz during their wedding process and the period leading up to it.

Alongside claims of friction around wedding arrangements — including allegations related to the bridal gown — he also alleged that Victoria danced “inappropriately” with him.

Even with the conflict spilling into public view, the tone of Cruz’s lyrics suggests the door may not be fully closed from his side, hinting at hope for some kind of reconciliation.

It has also been reported that direct communication isn’t straightforward, with claims that Brooklyn has blocked family members on social media and has asked that any contact go through legal channels.

Against that backdrop, Cruz appears to speak to his brother in the song as if it’s one of the few ways he can reach him.

“Loneliest boy, I hope that you’re listening, Don’t push all your friends away, when we’re tryna show you love.”

Meanwhile, Brooklyn raised eyebrows online after posting a celebratory message for his mother-in-law, Claudia Heffner Peltz, on UK Mother’s Day, while not sharing a public tribute to Victoria.

“Happy birthday to the best mother-in-law. Love u so much and hope you had the most amazing day,” Brooklyn gushed.

Cruz’s second verse then shifts toward the impact the situation may be having on their mother, with lyrics that frame the fallout as painful and lingering.

“Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much, It’s breaking hеr heart.

“It shows in the small things that you don’t do, I guess in thе end that it’s you, yourself, and you. Tell me how do you live, when you’ve got nobody to lose?”

David Beckham’s representatives have been approached for comment.
