Reacher star Alan Ritchson allegedly beats up neighbor in front of kids on camera

A dispute between two neighbors in Tennessee is said to have escalated into a physical confrontation on Sunday, with Reacher star Alan Ritchson accused of assaulting a man in view of his children.

Ritchson, 43, who portrays Jack Reacher in Prime Video’s hit series, has been accused of striking a neighbor while the pair were on a residential street, with reports claiming the incident happened as children watched nearby.

Video shared by TMZ appears to show a man wearing a white shirt, black vest and blue jeans repeatedly hitting another man on the ground, as two children on dirt bikes look on from close by.

The man believed to be Ritchson then steps away and tries to lift a green motorcycle that had fallen in the road.

After attempting to remount the bike a couple of times, he is seen leaving the area with the two children.

The man identified by TMZ as the alleged victim, Ronnie Taylor, along with other residents, spoke to the outlet about what led up to the altercation. TMZ reported that Ritchson did not initiate the physical fight.

Taylor claimed he asked the actor to stop riding a Kawasaki motorbike around the neighborhood with his children, saying the noise disrupted what he expected to be a quiet Sunday.

He also alleged the disturbance began the day before, describing revving and riding in the area. Taylor said he confronted the 6’3″ actor and asked: ‘Can you f**king stop this please?’

Taylor reported the incident to authorities, alleging Ritchson assaulted him after that exchange.

Other neighbors, however, told TMZ the disagreement had started earlier with insults and gestures.

Residents said Taylor allegedly made an obscene gesture at Ritchson as he rode by, and that Ritchson responded with the same gesture.

According to accounts shared with TMZ, things turned physical after Taylor approached in what was described as a “really aggressive” way, leading Ritchson to fall from his bike in front of his children.

Taylor alleged he was hit “at least four times,” and said he was left with bruising and swelling. He reportedly did not go to the hospital.

Ritchson, who has three sons with his wife Catherine, previously spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about mental health challenges, including a bipolar disorder diagnosis.

In that interview, he said he experienced suicidal thoughts, and that thinking about his children growing up without him led him to seek help.

“They calmly asked me not to do it, and told me that they wanted me to be here, alive and part of their lives,” he shared.

Ritchson’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
