Jennifer Lopez seemingly makes dig at ex Ben Affleck onstage at Las Vegas show

Jennifer Lopez’s Las Vegas residency has sparked fresh chatter online after fans loved her ‘hilarious’ reaction to learning a concertgoer shared a name with her ex-husband, Ben Affleck.

Lopez, 56, and the Good Will Hunting actor, 53, ended their marriage two years after tying the knot, with irreconcilable differences cited in the split.

Following the finalization of their divorce in January 2025, the Kiss of the Spider Woman star has spoken publicly about her dating life in 2026, appeared alongside Affleck for red-carpet photos, and launched her Las Vegas run, The JLo Show.

The superstar opened the residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in December, and a brief on-stage exchange from one performance has since gone viral.

In a clip posted by Instagram user @benmp13 and shared by anonymous celebrity gossip source DeuxMoi, Lopez is seen inviting a male audience member up onto the stage.

She motions for him to come closer, then lifts the microphone to his mouth so he can introduce himself.

When the fan replies that his name is “Ben”, Lopez pulls a playful expression, responds with “ugh!”, and then laughs as the crowd reacts.

Moments later, she and her dance troupe guide him offstage behind a curtain.

The video quickly drew a wave of opinions in the comments. One viewer wrote: “It was the ugh for me,” followed by a laughing Emoji.

Another added: “Hilarious. Side note: she looks phenomenal.”

“Ben, ugh indeed,” a third joked.

Not everyone loved the moment, though, with one person commenting: “Idk I think it’s pretty tacky that she does stuff like this, I guess it’s part of her show. She wouldn’t be laughing if the roles were reversed.”

Elsewhere, in December 2025, Lopez spoke candidly for the first time about why her first planned wedding to Affleck — after they met while filming Gigli — didn’t go ahead in September 2003.

“For you to break up three days before the wedding… the pressure that was piled upon you caused the wedding to be called off,” said interviewer Zane Lowe.

“But I never really understood, there’s a difference between calling off a wedding… you broke up, you didn’t just call the wedding off, you called the whole thing off?”

Lopez clarified that while the ceremony was postponed, they didn’t separate immediately.

“What it did was it casted doubt in me and both of us about what our relationship was and where it was going I think.

“I knew in my heart that I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life, but it didn’t feel like we were going to make it, so it scared me.

“It was very hard, it was a very sad moment of letting go of someone you really love because you just can’t figure it out, you just don’t have the capacity and ability emotionally to figure it out, we just weren’t mature enough in that way.

“… We weren’t ready to deal with and look at each other and go ‘what we have is real, we need to buckle down, do some work’ we just weren’t there yet.”
