Bodycam footage filmed by Reacher star Alan Ritchson during fight with neighbor shows what really happened

Alan Ritchson has shared additional context around a recent altercation with a neighbor that went viral after footage appeared to show the Reacher actor striking a man several times while he was on the ground.

After posting a cryptic Napoleon Bonaparte message to Instagram, the 43-year-old released bodycam video that he says reflects what happened from his side.

The newly shared footage includes the lead-up to the widely circulated clip and arrives as the incident remains under police investigation.

According to the neighbor’s account, the dispute began over Ritchson riding a loud green Kawasaki motorcycle around a residential area in Tennessee. The neighbor has claimed they had complained to both the actor and police a day earlier about the motorcycle’s engine noise.

The first video shared publicly showed Ritchson—wearing a white shirt, black vest, and blue jeans—appearing to punch the man repeatedly as two children on dirt bikes looked on.

Ritchson’s bodycam footage, however, begins earlier. It shows him riding into the neighborhood when a man steps into the path of his motorcycle, prompting the actor to brake suddenly.

In the clip, the stop appears so abrupt that Ritchson loses balance and falls off the bike.

“Are you f***ing kidding me, bro?” Ritchson can be heard saying to the man, who identified himself to TMZ as Ronnie Taylor. The confrontation continues as the neighbor keeps engaging the actor.

Taylor then accuses Ritchson of “driving around this neighborhood like a f***ing lunatic,” while the actor gets up and moves toward the man who had stepped in front of the bike.

The footage appears to show Ritchson taking the man to the ground, after which the actor tries to remount his motorcycle and leave. Throughout, his two children remain nearby as the argument carries on.

Moments later, the bodycam video shows what happens immediately before Ritchson begins hitting the man: as Ritchson again attempts to ride away, the neighbor steps in front of the motorcycle a second time while pointing and moving in close.

Ritchson seems to lose control once more. He then knocks the man down and strikes him multiple times while shouting: ‘Are you out of your goddamn mind?’

He follows up by telling the man to ‘stay down’ and asking ‘are you f***ing stupid?’ before collecting his helmet and leaving with his two sons.

Asked about the incident, Ritchson told the Daily Mail: “I can’t answer questions about that right now, there’s an active investigation.”

Taylor also gave his version of events to TMZ, saying: “On Sunday, when I was cleaning by bike outside my house, he rode past once, twice, and on the second time I walked out in front of him, and I said, ‘You got to stop, someone’s going to get hurt.

“Then it escalated quite quickly from there. I did push him because he was coming towards me on his bike.”
