Former Pussycat Dolls singer Jessica Sutta has shared her theory about why she wasn’t asked to return as the group gears up for its reunion tour.
The Pussycat Dolls surprised fans when they confirmed they’re heading back out on a world tour — their first in more than 15 years.
But the comeback won’t include the full original lineup. Instead of returning as a six-piece, the group is currently set to perform as a trio made up of Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt.
As speculation circulated online about why some former members weren’t included, Sutta offered her own perspective during the March 22 episode of the The Maverick Approach podcast.
She said: “I was a liability.

“I align with Bobby Kennedy, which is aligning with MAGA. Do I love what [President Donald] Trump is doing? Absolutely not. I do not believe in war. [But] we didn’t have a chance for the [vaccine] injured community to get help without him.”
Sutta has previously spoken in support of U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr, saying she relates to him due to overlapping views tied to health and medicine.
She also addressed the backlash she says she receives over her political stance, including opinions she believes are associated with MAGA supporters.
She continued: “People are screaming at me, ’You’re MAGA, you’re MAGA.’ Yeah, I am.
“I triple down on it because I’m like, I’m so sick of people telling me who I should be.”
When discussing the reunion announcement, Sutta claimed she and other former members weren’t given advance notice. She said that none of us were called, adding that they were ‘blindsided’ — referencing Carmit Bachar and Melody Thornton.
Still, she mentioned that Scherzinger did reach out to her directly.
She said: “I don’t plan to call her back. I love Nicole. This is very bittersweet for me. I respect her as an artist. I even cried with joy when she won her Tony [for Sunset Boulevard] just recently.”

Meanwhile, during a recent appearance on the Today show, Scherzinger, Roberts and Wyatt were asked about why the other former members won’t be joining them for the tour.
Wyatt answered: “I mean, it has been an ever-changing lineup and you know, this is what it looks like now in 2026, and you never know what comes next.
“I think ultimately, we’ve got to protect our peace and when something like the Pussycat Dolls has so much history, we have ruptured in the past, and right now we are repairing, and we’re sort of on the same page with that.”
Representatives for Scherzinger have been approached for comment.
