Congressman Tim Burchett has warned that if the American public knew what he says he knows about aliens, the nation would become “unglued”.
His comments come after Donald Trump recently said he was instructing the White House to begin unsealing government records related to aliens and UFOs.
The president wrote on Truth Social back in February: “Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters.”
Burchett, meanwhile, has suggested he has already been given insight into what those files may contain.

Speaking on Newsmax, the Republican said he has been briefed by numerous federal agencies and claimed the information he has seen would deeply unsettle many Americans.
He said: “I’ve been briefed by just about every alphabet agency there is. And, I’ll just say this, if they were to release the things that I’ve seen, you’d be up at night, worrying about, thinking about this stuff.”
Burchett then went further, alleging that details from a recent briefing would have triggered a major public reaction if they had been shared openly.
“This country would’ve come unglued, I think, if they [the public] would’ve heard all that I heard,” Burchett continued. “They would demand answers.”
Despite the ominous tone, Burchett indicated he still supports releasing the information, arguing that taxpayers deserve transparency about what their money has funded.
He added: “It’s your tax dollars. Let’s get it out there.”
