Lady Gaga has said she is devastated to disappoint fans after medical advice forced her to withdraw from her most recent tour stop while she deals with a continuing health issue.
The pop star was scheduled to play a third and final night at Montreal’s Bell Centre in Quebec, but a serious respiratory infection left her unwell enough that doctors urged her to rest instead of going ahead with the performance.
Posting an update to Instagram, the Poker Face singer told fans: “I’m so sorry to share that I’m unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show.”
“I’ve been fighting a respiratory infection for the past few days and doing everything I can to rest and recover, but it’s gotten worse.”

The Abracadabra artist added: “My doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today and to be honest I don’t think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve.”
She went on to share how difficult the decision was, writing: “I know how deeply disappointing this is, and I truly could not feel worse about letting you down,” before continuing, “I’m so sorry to everyone who made plans to be there and support me. Being in Montreal and performing for you on Thursday and Friday was magical and deeply meaningful. To everyone who was coming tonight, I’m absolutely heartbroken and so sorry.”
Gaga had already completed two Montreal shows on Thursday, April 2, and Friday, April 3. After wrapping up dates in Canada, she is expected to continue to the US, including stops in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and New York City’s Madison Square Garden on April 13.

The tour began in February, with early shows taking place across North America, including dates in Boston, Washington, D.C., and Montreal.
This latest cancellation also follows other recent disruptions. Just last month, Gaga returned to perform a rescheduled Miami date on March 13 after calling off the show in September due to vocal strain.
She first revealed plans for the Monsters Ball tour in March 2025. Following a sold-out run in Singapore that drove further demand, the singer said she wanted to extend the momentum with an expanded run of concerts.
Explaining the choice of venues, she wrote: “We chose arenas this time to give me the opportunity to control the details of the show in a way you simply can’t in stadiums — and honestly, I can’t wait,”
She added: “This show is designed to be the kind of theatrical and electrifying experience that brings MAYHEM to life exactly how I envision it. The MAYHEM Ball Tour is officially coming your way. See you soon, monsters.”
