Barron Trump makes unexpected career move that could help his ‘financial interests’

President Trump’s youngest—and tallest—son is making an early play in the consumer beverage space, taking on a role that could prove lucrative if the launch takes off.

Florida business records indicate that Barron Trump, 20, is named as one of five directors behind a new drink label, SOLLOS Yerba Mate. The company is preparing to debut next month with a canned yerba mate offered in two flavors: coconut and pineapple.

Although SOLLOS is a newcomer, its corporate setup mirrors a familiar startup strategy: incorporation in Delaware, a state often favored by venture-backed companies, alongside registration in Florida, where Barron is based.

The brand is built around yerba mate, a caffeinated South American herbal tea that has surged in popularity in the US, buoyed by interest in health-forward energy alternatives. If the trend holds, SOLLOS would be entering the market at an opportune time.

The two-meter (6’9″) president’s son is expected to roll out the product next month, though additional specifics about the lineup and broader plans have not yet been widely shared.

“One step closer to launch. The perfect summer drink.”

“Introducing our 12-pack: Pineapple + Coconut.”

“In the foreseeable future Sollos will only have one recipe.

“We didn’t set out to make a flavor lineup; we set out to make the perfect drink. Most brands launch with five flavors, hoping you’ll like one of them. We spent all of our time, energy, and resources obsessing over a single recipe until it was flawless.”

The venture also appears to have meaningful early financing. Securities and Exchange Commission filings show SOLLOS has secured $1 million in capital ahead of launch, raised from an unnamed private investor.

Based on the available details, the company seems rooted in Barron’s Palm Beach circle, leaning into Florida imagery and drawing on relationships formed while he was growing up there. The other listed directors are Rodolfo Castello, Valentino Gomez, Stephen Hall, and Spencer Bernstein. Hall and Bernstein reportedly attended the same Palm Beach private school as Barron, Oxbridge Academy, according to Newsweek.

“Growing up in South Florida, our lifestyle was shaped by the opportunity to spend time outdoors year-round,” a LinkedIn post by SOLLOS reads. “That experience led us to create SOLLOS, a beverage designed to complement life in the ‘Sunshine State.’”

As with many high-profile family-linked ventures, it remains uncertain how hands-on Barron will be day to day while he attends New York University. Still, being listed in official filings—and the attention that comes with the Trump name—could provide a significant boost as SOLLOS tries to break into a competitive market.
