A gamer’s temper boiled over, and it’s now earned him a ban from a major tournament for “at least ten years”.
The 2026 DACH CS Masters Counter-Strike 2 event took place this weekend, bringing together five-player squads to compete against each other in Counter-Strike 2.
Anyone familiar with competitive gaming—or who’s watched big streamers such as Ninja (Tyler Blevins) and Auronplay—knows that a bit of trash talk is often part of the scene.
Most players shrug it off, but Counter-Strike pro MAUschine appeared to take things much further.
In a brief moment caught during the live show, MAUschine can be seen punching opponent Fabian ‘Spidergum’ Salomon after losing to regnum4games in the final of the semi-professional tournament’s semi-final stage.

As both teams made their way onto the stage for regnum4games’ winner presentation, MAUschine instead used the walkout to lash out at his rival.
The blow was strong enough to knock Fabian’s glasses off, and footage from the stream shows him visibly stunned by what just happened.
The host then called for MAUschine to be removed from the stage. Not long after, tournament organizer DACH commented publicly on Twitter.
It said in a statement: “Surprisingly, we do not tolerate physical assaults against other players at LAN and have acted accordingly.
“MAUschine is banned for at least 10 years and the incident has additionally been reported to ESIC. In case it wasn’t clear: We think violence is pretty sh*tty and it has no place in our league.”
As of writing, MAUschine’s Twitch channel also appears to have been taken offline following the incident.
Erstaunlicherweise dulden wir keine Tätlichkeiten gegen andere Spieler auf LAN und haben entsprechend gehandelt.

Online, many reactions have backed the tournament’s decision, with commenters broadly agreeing the punishment fits what happened.
Somebody said on Reddit: “Well. That Escalated Quickly. But it’s deserved.”
A second wrote: “What an expensive slap… it cost him dearly. Justice served!!”
“Swift served justice is so rare these days. Love it,” added a third.
Another person described the outburst as an “embarrassing display,” adding: “If you get swayed by emotions like this, why even bother playing competitively?”
