Caitlyn Jenner has been criticised by a The View host after revealing she asked the president for help over a ‘safety issue’ she says resulted from his policy and affects her as a trans person.
Jenner’s ongoing support for President Trump has repeatedly sparked debate, with some arguing she’s entitled to back any candidate she chooses, while others question why she would support someone whose executive actions have been viewed as harmful to the trans community.
One of her most vocal critics, The View co-host Ana Navarro, has now aimed a blistering response at Jenner after the reality star discussed a problem she’s facing with her passport.
During an episode of the Tomi Lahren is Fearless podcast, Jenner said she has run into difficulties because of an order that requires passport sex markers to reflect sex assigned at birth. She said that would prevent her from having her passport list ‘F’.

Jenner said she wrote to President Trump to ask for help addressing what she described as a reversal of her documentation, but claimed she has not received a response.
The topic was discussed on The View on April 20, where Navarro made it clear she had little sympathy for Jenner’s situation.
“Caitlyn Jenner? Girl, cry me a river. Let me play my little violin for you,” Navarro said. “Changing the marker on the passports is an executive order that he signed on day one, so if you think he didn’t know what he was doing, if you think he wasn’t fulfilling a campaign promise because, as you say, he absolutely exploited this issue in order to get people to the polls.”
“I think there’s a special place in hell for people who only care about themselves and don’t care about the effect on others,” Navarro said, referencing Jenner’s support of Trump.
The order signed by Trump included the statement: “Across the country, ideologues who deny the biological reality of sex have increasingly used legal and other socially coercive means to permit men to self-identify as women.”
It added that this is ‘wrong’.
For Jenner, the effect is more than administrative. She said it makes travel feel less safe, explaining that showing identification is a constant part of navigating airports and borders.
“Today, documentation is extremely important. Every time you turn around, you gotta show ID, ID, ID. So somebody in my position, who has transitioned, I worked very, very hard. I worked with a law firm to make sure everything was changed from ‘M’ to ‘F,’ right down to my birth certificate.”
Jenner said other records reflect her transition, but that her passport cannot be updated under the current rules.
Despite that, she told Lahren that her support for Trump remains unchanged, saying: “My gender marker is not big on the issue, OK? So, I get that, and I’m not blaming him whatsoever. I love the guy, and I love what he’s doing.”
