Donald Trump has issued ‘shoot to kill’ order for Iranian boats after facing issues in Strait of Hormuz

The White House is still striking a confident tone about President Trump’s efforts to increase pressure on Iran, even after Tehran reportedly seized at least two vessels in the Strait of Hormuz within the last 24 hours.

Trump has reportedly extended the ceasefire without a set end date, giving what remains of Iran’s leadership time to put forward a proposal intended to bring the conflict to a close on terms aligned with U.S. priorities. However, the administration’s blockade of Iranian ports is said to remain in effect.

In response, Iranian officials have accused the White House of a

‘flagrant breach of the ceasefire’.

That criticism appears unlikely to shift Washington’s stance, as the Commander-in-Chief has now issued a

‘shoot to kill’

order for certain ships operating in the Strait of Hormuz.
