Pete Davidson reveals new tattoo with sweet meaning after spending $200,000 on removals

Pete Davidson is easing up on his tattoo-removal mission, choosing to add fresh ink instead — this time in tribute to his daughter, Scottie.

Davidson once had nearly 200 tattoos. In May 2021, he told Seth Meyers on Late Night with Seth Meyers that he’d already started removing them — a lengthy process that he said would cost the 32-year-old around $200,000.

“It takes, like, three hours — you have to get there, like, three hours earlier — to cover all your tattoos. For some reason, people in movies, they don’t have them that much,” the comedian said of the treatment process.

Even with a number of pieces now gone, it doesn’t mean Davidson has sworn off tattoos completely.

According to E! News, he recently revealed a new, subtle tattoo at CinemaCon: a small tribute to his daughter, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson.

The tattoo sits beside his ear on the side of his face and simply reads: ‘Scottie’.

Davidson also spoke with People Magazine recently, sharing what it’s been like stepping into fatherhood for the first time.

“I’m very lucky because Elsie [Hewitt] is a fantastic mom, and I can’t stress enough how lucky I am,” he said.

“And what’s also cool is you get to watch someone come into this other role, and it’s so nice to see.

“It’s very rewarding to see the person you chose to have a baby with actually crush it so naturally,” he continued.

“And so Scottie’s very lucky in that way. So we’re having a blast. It’s really cute, and it’s fun to dress up a little baby.”

Although he’s been gradually clearing space, Davidson has kept at least one tattoo that stands out as a surprising tribute — an homage to former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

He got the piece after Clinton lost the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump.

Sharing the tattoo on Instagram in 2017, Davidson wrote: “Wanted to get @hillaryclinton a Christmas gift, so I got a tattoo of my hero.

“Thanks for being such a badass and one of the strongest people in the universe.”

Clinton responded, writing: “Thanks, @petedavidson, This makes it significantly less awkward that I’ve had a Pete Davidson tattoo for years. But seriously, I’m honored. Merry Christmas, my friend.”

So, after honoring Scottie with his latest ink, what could be next for Davidson?
