Urologist claims $15,000 penis-boosting surgery is the answer to men worried about size

If you’ve ever wondered whether size really matters, you certainly wouldn’t be the only one.

A subject many men find hard to talk about is penis size, yet recent research suggests close to half worry about it.

Ohio urologist Dr John Peck says it’s a topic that comes up constantly in his clinic.

After more than 20 years treating patients, he has spent much of that time reassuring men that fixating on measurements rarely helps.

Part of the reason, he explains, is that there have traditionally been very few realistic options—especially if you weren’t considering surgery.

That’s why he paid attention when he heard about a newer procedure last year that claimed it could increase size.

His interest quickly turned into action, and he decided to undergo the treatment himself.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said: “My penis size was not a big issue, no pun intended.

“But I know for a lot of men, it is.

“Patients often ask whether I’ve had procedures myself, and I think it helps me understand whether I should recommend a surgery and what they’ll go through.”

For him, trying it personally was a way to judge the process and outcomes firsthand before discussing it with patients.

He also wasn’t new to taking that approach: the father-of-two previously had a vasectomy so he could better guide men thinking about the procedure.

When he raised the idea with his partner, she reportedly had one immediate question: “Why?”

He says his response was simple—and delivered with a laugh: “Why not?”

The procedure he chose is called the Diamond XL 360. Created by Delaware surgeon Dr Stuart Diamond, it relies on strategically placed filler injections intended to increase girth.

The filler is described as a medical-grade gel injected beneath the skin to add volume.

Similar gel fillers are commonly used elsewhere in cosmetic medicine, such as the lips and cheeks.

Only a limited number of US clinics offer penis filler procedures, with some experts warning outcomes can look “unnatural” and risks may rise when inexperienced practitioners perform the treatment.

Dr Diamond, however, points to decades of urology work—around 30 years—and says his method aims to enhance size while maintaining a natural look.

Dr Peck first attended a consultation and selected a “temporary filler” expected to last roughly four months, giving him time to evaluate results and watch for any issues.

Once that wore off, he opted for a longer-lasting filler, which he was told could remain effective for two to five years.

The Diamond XL 360 reportedly costs between $8,000 and $15,000 and typically takes up to an hour, using local anesthetic.

The gel is injected into numerous locations—up to 40 separate points—along the shaft.

According to reported expectations, some men may see one to two inches of added girth, while others may gain as much as an inch in length.

Dr Peck said he was happy with his outcome, sharing that he gained “about an inch and a half in girth,” but did not see extra length.

Asked if he felt it was worthwhile, he answered “absolutely.”

He said: “I tell everybody it is like having a new toy.

“I was impressed. It definitely is a noticeable difference when you look in the mirror or get out of the shower or step up to the urinal. It does have a different feel to it too, heavier.

“The orgasms are the same, but there is, I don’t know, something in the sensation, perhaps due to better contact.

“I do feel that my partner can tell a difference and has perhaps improved her sexual experience as well.”

He also said the change boosted his confidence and that he felt it benefited his sex life.

As for drawbacks, he reported bruising and swelling that lingered for a couple of weeks after treatment.

Afterward, he said he noticed an increase in size when erect and that his flaccid girth was closer to what it used to be when erect.

He added: “For guys that are looking at this, if you get out of the swimming pool or the shower and things are shrivelled, playing turtle… that does not happen anymore.

“I’ve even had people when I am in certain jeans say, you know, make a comment that they can tell I had it done.

“Was it worth it? Yes. It’s brilliant.”
