The American Pie actress has explained what motivated her to begin posting adult content on the platform, after reportedly bringing in a jaw-dropping sum during her first week.
Shannon Elizabeth set up her account on the subscription service best known for explicit material on April 16 — the same day she privately filed for divorce from conservationist Simon Borchert, whom she married in 2021.
PEOPLE reports the separation is still “rather fresh”, and those close to the star suggest she’s embracing a more adventurous phase of life now that she’s single.
In an interview with Us Weekly about the breakup, the 52-year-old said: “I feel stronger, clearer, and happier than I have in a very long time.”
Elizabeth is also part of a growing list of well-known names who have turned to OnlyFans recently.
Maitland Ward — the former Disney actor who played Rachel McGuire on Boy Meets World between 1998 and 2000 — has also spoken about how much she’s earned from the site.

Now, Elizabeth appears ready to carve out her own space as a creator.
Her bio on the platform says: “Here you’ll find the side of me that doesn’t make it into movies – more playful, spontaneous, and completely unscripted.
“If you’ve ever been curious what I’m really like… You’re about to find out.”
Sharing more about her decision, the Love Actually star said: “I’ve spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career.”
Describing OnlyFans as the “future”, she added: “This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a more sexy side no one has seen, and being closer to my fans.”
Although she’s only been active for a little over a week, a source close to the actor claims she’s already made “more than seven figures” — an extraordinary haul in roughly 12 days.

“[Elizabeth] is really making a name for herself,” the source added.
They also detailed where much of the income is allegedly coming from, explaining: “Over half of that [money] was earned through direct messages to OnlyFans users, while tips and posts accounted for the rest.”
At the same time, the insider said Elizabeth has firm limits around what she shares, and isn’t posting full-nudity content.
OnlyFans has already seen several celebrities hit major milestones. Bella Thorne famously became the first creator to make $1 million in 24 hours — though she has since stopped using her account.

Singer Lily Allen also discussed experimenting with the platform in 2024, saying on the Miss Me? podcast that a conversation at a nail appointment sparked the idea — after learning she had a high rating on WikiFeet, where users share and rank celebrity foot photos.
“[My pedicurist said I] could make a lot of money selling foot content on OnlyFans, and I’m like, ‘Not no’,” Allen said.
Following her breakup with husband David Harbour, Allen later chose to step away, saying it simply stopped being enjoyable for her.
Harry Potter actor Jessie Cave launched an OnlyFans in 2025 with a different goal: to help clear her debts. Her account was aimed at a niche audience interested in hair-focused content.
While Cave said it wouldn’t be “sexual”, she explained she hoped it could help her diversify her work and provide content tailored to her trademark extremely long hair.

Rapper Cardi B previously used OnlyFans in 2020 largely as a promotional tool around her music, including the release of “WAP”.
“On my OnlyFans, I will be putting the [behind the scenes] of the music video — not only the day of that music video — but the whole process of it,” Cardi said.
“I want to know what my fans would like to see there — what type of content would they like you guys to see there. We will be talking about personal stuff… straight-up real-life content.”
Cardi has since stopped using her account.

Meanwhile, Drea de Matteo — known for her roles in The Sopranos and Desperate Housewives — turned to the platform in 2024 as a way to bolster her finances during a slower period in her acting career.
“I kept putting more pictures up. I was like, holy s**t. In five minutes, I was able to pay back Compass Real Estate who kept the sale of my house,” she told the New York Post.
