Nikki Glaser responds to ’embarrassing’ reaction after revealing she lets boyfriend have sex with other women

Nikki Glaser has addressed the ‘backlash’ that followed her saying she ‘wouldn’t care’ if her long-term boyfriend slept with other women.

Known for being candid, the comedian has now admitted she feels ‘embarrassed’ after the comment spread widely online.

Glaser has been with TV producer Chris Convy since 2013, after the pair met while working on the MTV series Nikki & Sara Live.

Convy has reportedly never had an issue with Glaser referencing their relationship in her stand-up, though she now suggests she may have shared more than she intended.

Earlier this month, the 41-year-old spoke about it on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast. “In a relationship, I don’t really care if my boyfriend were to hook up,” she said. Glaser also stressed that she wouldn’t be looking to do the same herself.

“But that is not a two-way street. I’m not someone who likes to hook up when I’m in a relationship. I don’t really care about that. But I don’t care if someone else were to. In fact, I kinda like it,” she continued. She added that imagining her partner with other women was something she found arousing.

Since then, Glaser has indicated she regrets how that part of the conversation landed publicly, explaining that recording the episode felt more like chatting to a close friend.

“A week later, I wake up to just headlines about ‘Nikki Glaser says that she likes for her boyfriend to sleep with other women,’ and it was like five different headlines showing up on my feed,” she recalled on a recent episode of the On with Kara Swisher podcast.

“It was really embarrassing, because that was just one little thing I talked about, that I’m kind of turned on by the idea of it.”

Glaser said the attention didn’t stop there, claiming that the following day, during voice-over work, people on the Zoom call pointed it out: “‘Wow, a lot of headlines about you today.’”

“It’s so humiliating that they know this!” she said.

In other parts of the Call Her Daddy interview, Glaser also shared that hearing about her boyfriend’s past relationships and hookups can feel like part of their intimacy.

“There have been some interesting things that were fun for me to hear about and experience, and fun for him, too,” she admitted. “It’s just what I’m into.”

Elsewhere, Glaser has also made headlines recently for a different reason, after an awkward on-air wardrobe moment that she laughed off.

During an appearance with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on Live With Kelly and Mark, Ripa pointed out a brief underwear slip.

“Oh wait, you can see your underpants!” Ripa exclaimed, with Glaser responding jokingly: “Oh, it’s just for you!”
