A Frontier Airlines flight headed to Los Angeles struck and killed a person on the runway at Denver International Airport on Friday night (May 9).
Denver International Airport said in a statement: \”Frontier Flight 4345 reported striking a pedestrian during takeoff at DEN at approximately 11:19 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026. There was a brief engine fire that was promptly extinguished by the Denver Fire Dept.\”
Officials have not yet released additional details about how the pedestrian came to be on the runway or what circumstances led to the incident. Updates are expected as the investigation continues.
