Royal author speaks out after claiming Sarah Ferguson and Diddy were ‘friends with benefits’

A new biography about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson has prompted a wave of attention this week after making startling allegations about Ferguson’s private life, including claims linking her to hip hop star P Diddy.

In Entitled, author Andrew Lownie alleges that Ferguson — the former Duchess of York, who divorced Andrew in 1996 — began what he describes as a secret “friends with benefits” arrangement with Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2004.

One of the more striking assertions in an excerpt from the book is that Ferguson allegedly introduced her daughters to Combs while they were still under 18, with the rapper described as being particularly fascinated by the royal family.

As the claims spread, people said to be close to Ferguson have reportedly pushed back, insisting the allegations are false — prompting Lownie to publicly defend his reporting.

Speaking to the UK’s Sunday Times, Lownie said he is confident in the material included in Entitled, maintaining that his information came from individuals familiar with Ferguson and that he had no reason to doubt those accounts.

“I stand by it, it’s fully sourced with former employees of P Diddy and Sarah Ferguson,” the author said.
