Nick Cannon, who has 12 kids with six different women, reveals who he is spending Mother’s Day with

Nick Cannon has shared a straightforward response when asked where he plans to be on Mothers’ Day.

With the comedian being a father to 12 children with six different women, it’s the kind of holiday people assume would be hard to juggle.

His children are with Mariah Carey, Brittany Bell, Abby De La Rosa, Bre Tiesi, LaNisha Cole, and Alyssa Scott.

But in an appearance on the TMZ Podcast, Cannon said the day doesn’t bring as much chaos as many expect — and pointed to another celebration as the real logistical challenge.

“Everybody always talks about, ‘Oh, man, Mother’s Day must be crazy for you.’ It’s not really Mother’s Day that’s crazy,” he said.

He then explained that Fathers’ Day is actually the tougher one to navigate, because all of his kids want time with him on the same day.

So what’s his Mothers’ Day plan?

According to Cannon, the answer is simple: he’ll be with his own mom.

Speaking on the podcast on May 2, the 45-year-old said: “I’m spending time with my mother,” adding: “It’s Mother’s Day. It’s not Baby Mama’s Day!”

He added that his routine typically involves spending the day either with his mom or his grandmother.

Even so, Cannon noted that he still wants the mothers of his children to feel acknowledged — but said he approaches it differently because the focus, for him, is on his own family matriarch.

“I appreciate them, but they get stuff from the kids,” he said.

“I try to make whatever the gift is custom [and] that the kids are a part of it, but it’s always nice.

“They’re not gonna get the same thing because they ain’t got the same kids.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Cannon also drew attention for comments about dating rules for his kids.

In a separate portion of the podcast, he said he’s fine with his teenage son dating — and even supports it — but takes a different stance with his daughter.

“My son has been dating, and I’ve allowed it, I encouraged it.”

Asked whether his daughter — his son’s twin sister — is given the same freedom, he responded: “No, absolutely not.”

Cannon said he understands the criticism and acknowledged his approach isn’t equal.

He said: “First of all, it’s absolutely a double standard, and I know I get in trouble a lot ’cause I say things with my chest.

“But there is a difference when parenting a son and then when parenting a daughter.”
