A lawyer who was found guilty of killing his wife and son in 2021 has had that conviction thrown out.
Justices at the South Carolina Supreme Court were unanimous in concluding that Alex Murdaugh’s 2023 trial was unfairly affected by conduct involving Colleton County Clerk Rebecca Hill.
