Grand Theft Auto 6, one of this year’s most eagerly awaited releases, is still set to arrive in November, with Take-Two reiterating that the launch remains on track.
Players have been waiting more than 13 years for a follow-up to GTA 5, which launched in 2013 and became a huge critical and commercial success.
Rockstar publicly confirmed development in February 2022, sparking a wave of excitement as fans began counting down to the next entry in the long-running series.
Even with two trailers keeping interest high, concerns grew after reports of multiple setbacks, with Take-Two previously acknowledging the project had fallen behind schedule.

However, Take-Two’s earnings call on Thursday May 21 indicated those fears may be easing, as the company confirmed the title is still targeting its previously announced November release window.
While no new information was shared on topics such as pricing, the company did say Rockstar will begin an official marketing push this summer—suggesting more news should arrive in the coming weeks.
Calling it ‘arguably the most anticipated entertainment property of all time’, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick set out bold expectations for what the next game in the franchise could achieve.
Take-Two also said it anticipates revenue of $8-8.2 billion in the 2027 fiscal year—around 20% higher than the year before—driven largely by GTA 6, one of the publisher’s biggest potential earners.
With the company reporting $6.72 billion in revenue for the 2026 financial year, the impact of GTA 6 could add as much as roughly $1.5 billion if performance meets projections.
The confirmation that the release plan is still intact is likely to reassure fans, especially after renewed speculation that the game might slip again for a third delay.
The title was initially expected in late 2025, then moved to 26 May, 2026, before being pushed back once more to its current date of 19 November this year.
Pre-orders still haven’t gone live, though they are believed to be timed to the start of the upcoming summer promotional campaign, reportedly planned for the end of June.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to release on 19 November, 2026.
