Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian’s short-lived romance might now seem surreal, but it did happen — and Davidson has since made an unusual remark about his former partner years after their split.
The pair were together for around nine months, dating from October 2021 until August 2022 after their connection began on the set of Saturday Night Live. For Kardashian, it marked her first high-profile relationship following her separation from ex-husband Kanye West.
Even though the relationship didn’t last long, it appeared to be fairly serious. Davidson even showed up in an episode of The Kardashians, and the two were photographed attending the Met Gala together.
When they broke up, it didn’t come across as particularly messy, with distance and demanding work schedules reportedly playing a role. Since then, both have moved forward — Kardashian has been linked to F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, while Davidson later welcomed a daughter, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, with now-ex Elsie Hewitt.
Not long after his split from Hewitt, Davidson referenced Kardashian during a recent episode of Netflix’s The Pete Davidson Show.
The weekly series sees the comedian host friends and celebrity guests for a relaxed hangout. Kardashian wasn’t among the guests, but she did come up while he was talking with Nikki Glaser.
“Isn’t it crazy Kim’s good at acting?” he told Glaser. “I remember when we were dating, one day she was just like, ‘I think I’m gonna be an actress.’ And I was just like, ‘F**k yeah!’ And then [she’s] just good at it and I’m like, ‘Get the f**k out of here.’ She’s so good at acting.”
Glaser has seen Kardashian’s work up close herself, as the two are set to appear together in the upcoming Netflix comedy The Fifth Wheel.
“Anything she wants to do, she will do it,” Glaser said of the mom of four. “Especially if people are like, ‘You can’t do this.’ And for her to go into acting with all the public perception of her anyway, she knew – everyone’s gonna look for her to fail,” she gushed, while Davidson went on to call his ex ‘superhuman’.
“She doesn’t give a f**k, she’s unbelievable!” he continued.
Kardashian’s acting credits have been building in recent years. She made a notable move into scripted TV in 2023 with Netflix’s American Horror Story, and she has also appeared in Hulu’s All’s Fair.
