Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have never been shy about showing affection in public, but one of their newest photos has sparked a big reaction online.
The high-profile pair surprised many people when they confirmed their romance in December 2023, several years after collaborating on their track I Can’t Get Enough. Gomez and Blanco had also worked together before that on songs including Same Old Love and Kill Em with Kindness, meaning their personal relationship grew out of a long-running creative partnership.
Since making things official, they have regularly shared affectionate moments on Instagram. Their relationship quickly progressed, with the couple announcing their engagement in December 2024 before marrying on 27 September 2025 in Santa Barbara, California.
By the looks of the Calm Down star’s latest social media post, the newlyweds are still very much in the honeymoon phase.
Gomez uploaded a collection of loved-up images featuring Blanco and wrote: “distance means so little when someone means so much…. @itsbennyblanco mish you bb.”
The post appears to have been shared while the couple were spending time apart, with reports suggesting Gomez has recently been busy filming season six of Only Murders in the Building.
The opening photo showed the couple cuddled together on a sofa with a wintry-looking backdrop behind them.
The post took a more controversial turn in the fourth image, where Blanco, 38, appeared to kiss Gomez’s, 33, left breast while she wore a low-cut black top. Gomez appeared amused by the moment and was seen laughing for the camera.
While the two seemed completely comfortable with the intimate snap, some followers were less impressed and voiced their opinions in the comments.
“That frame should be private,” one penned, while another wrote: “Someone should tell Benny Blanco that it’s daylight.”
“The [forth] slide is definitely a delete later post, but go off I guess,” wrote a third.
Still, not everyone was critical, with some fans praising the pair and their bond.
Others, however, were loving the cute snap, with one writing: “Seeing them happy gives me so much peace, thank you God for being so good.”
A second penned: “This is a genuine love and I will support this.”
Blanco also responded publicly, writing: “i fall more and more in love with you everyday,” before adding: “time stands still when i’m in ur arms.”
The post is the latest example of the pair turning their relationship into a very public running conversation online. Since confirming their romance, both have regularly replied to each other in comment sections and interviews, often leaning into the playful, oversharing style that has divided fans as much as it has charmed them.
This is far from the first time the couple’s displays of affection have drawn attention. Back on Valentines Day 2025, Blanco’s unusual romantic gesture prompted some fans to say they were ‘disgusted’.
Rather than scattering traditional rose petals, he arranged chips to spell out ‘I love you’ for his wife.
At the end of the display was also an oversized bathtub filled with nacho cheese.
One fan said: “After this I would never want queso or chips again lollll,” while another wrote it was ‘f****** disgusting’.
The couple have also kept their relationship in the spotlight professionally. In 2025, they released the collaborative album I Said I Love You First, further blending their romance with their music careers and giving fans even more insight into their dynamic.
