Summer heat is starting to settle in, with some areas of the US forecast to edge close to 100F this week.
The National Weather Service has issued heat advisories for parts of the Pacific Northwest and the Southern Plains.
Europe is also seeing an intense start to the season, with some locations in the UK, Spain and France expected to reach as high as 108F.
When temperatures spike, guidance usually remains the same: drink plenty of water, stay out of the heat where possible, and skip strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day between 11am and 3pm.
For people in apartments or rented homes, though, cooling down can be much more difficult.
With demand for fans rising fast, shoppers are already looking for the best deals before stock starts to disappear.
Amazon’s Prime Day 2026 begins tomorrow, and a number of early offers are already live, including discounts on well-known Dyson models.
Here is what to know before the heat becomes harder to manage.
Prime Day often brings some of the strongest Dyson discounts of the year, with previous events featuring price cuts of up to 40 percent.
Even before the main sale begins, there are already notable savings available.
One of the standout offers is the Dyson Cool AM07 Bladeless Tower Fan, now down from $399.99 to $229.99, which works out to 43 percent off.
There is also the Dyson Cool Gen1 Purifying Fan, reduced from $479.99 to $299.99, a saving of 38 percent.
To access these early offers, shoppers need an Amazon Prime membership. You can sign up for a membership here.
Prime currently costs $14.99 each month or $139 for a yearly plan.

Hot nights can feel especially uncomfortable when you are trying to sleep at home rather than enjoying warm weather on vacation, but choosing the right fan can make a difference.
If quiet operation is a priority, bladeless options are often worth considering. Smaller desk fans can also be useful for people working from home or moving between rooms.
Dyson remains one of the most recognisable names in the category, thanks in large part to designs that combine a modern look with practical performance.
Some models also go beyond basic cooling, offering features such as air purification or humidification.
Still, leaving a fan running all night may not be the best solution, even if it feels helpful in the moment.
Experts say that overnight use can sometimes contribute to issues including dry sinuses, sore eyes and aggravated allergies.
“What helps you fall asleep is not always what supports your best quality sleep across the whole night,” sleep therapist Natalie Pennicotte-Collier of MattressNextDay explains.
“A fan can ease sleep onset, but as the room cools further in the early hours and your core body temperature begins to change before waking, that same fan can start to fragment your sleep, triggering lighter waking as your body tries to regulate itself.”

There is also the question of how constant airflow affects the body’s own overnight temperature cycle.
Natalie says the body naturally needs to shift temperature slightly as part of both falling asleep and waking up.
“With a fan running all night, the constant airflow continues to cool and dry the air around you, which can interfere with that natural process,” she adds.

Amazon Prime Day 2026 is scheduled to run from June 23 through June 26, extending the sale into a four-day event with offers expected across tech, fashion, beauty, homeware, everyday essentials, gaming and more.
That marks a change from the more familiar two-day format typically held in July.
Prime Day deals begin at 12:01am Pacific Time on June 23 and are available exclusively to Prime members.
In past years, Prime Day has consistently been one of the biggest chances to cut costs on everything from expensive gadgets to household basics bought in bulk, with millions of items usually included.
