Brooklyn Beckham has shared an affectionate message for his father-in-law, adding fresh fuel to speculation that his relationship with dad David Beckham remains strained.
The 27-year-old has continued to signal where his loyalties lie as rumours of an ongoing family rift refuse to go away.
In January, Brooklyn posted a lengthy statement on social media in which he accused his parents of controlling the narrative around his life and said he wanted peace and privacy for himself and wife Nicola Peltz Beckham.
He later appeared in a DoorDash advert that many viewers interpreted as a pointed reference to the Beckham family fallout.
“You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home.”
“It’s a long story,”
The ad then closed with the message:
“It’s complicated. More soon.”
The campaign arrived days after David Beckham was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles on June 12, 2026, an occasion attended by Victoria Beckham and three of their children, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. Brooklyn was notably absent.
Shortly afterwards, the family tensions appeared to spill back into public view when Harper Beckham was photographed making a brief visit to Brooklyn and Nicola’s Beverly Hills home while the Beckhams were in Los Angeles. Brooklyn’s team later said:
“That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras.”
David had also previously included Brooklyn in a Father’s Day tribute, writing:
“Being a dad is my most important job… I love you all & thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family.
“Happy Father’s Day to all the dads around the world.”
Victoria responded in the comments with a row of hearts, while many followers called David the ‘best dad ever’. Brooklyn did not publicly acknowledge the message.
Instead, he turned his attention to Nicola’s father, billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, just days after Nelson’s birthday.
Marking Nelson’s 84th birthday, Brooklyn posted:
“Happy birthday Nelson x I love u so much.
“I’m so happy I could celebrate you today! Thank you for being the best father in law.”

Nicola, 31, also shared a heartfelt birthday tribute to her father.
She wrote:
“You’re the best father I could ever dream of. You love us all unconditionally, encourage us that our dreams are never too big to chase and to always always be a good human before all else.”
Among the photos was a family group shot showing Nelson with five of his sons, alongside Nicola and Brooklyn.

The post is unlikely to go unnoticed by David and Victoria, especially as Brooklyn has not publicly acknowledged several major family milestones in recent months.
Reports have also suggested the tension has affected Brooklyn’s wider family relationships, including with his younger sister Harper.
While neither Brooklyn nor his parents has publicly confirmed the full extent of the fallout, the recent sequence of events has kept the Beckham family feud firmly in the spotlight.
