Content creator Jamal Morton has told followers that his 2-year-old daughter has died in what he described as sudden and devastating circumstances. Morton, who is also known online as J’Amore and Mr. Jay, said his daughter, Sadé Rose, died after an apparent drowning at the family’s Georgia home. Drowning remains the leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 4 in the United States.
He shared the news on social media, saying the grief of losing his child was overwhelming and something no parent should have to endure.
In a GoFundMe update posted on June 23, Morton said his daughter had drowned in the swimming pool at the family’s Georgia home after going outside alone.
“I lost my daughter,” he wrote. “She thought she was a big girl and could swim all by herself. She walked out of the house and got into the pool where she drowned.”
Morton, 33, also said he planned to step away from social media as he mourns alongside his family.
“I hate to make this post but yall won’t be seeing me for a while. I have to take a break.”

He also paid tribute to his daughter, whom he shared with Jessica Morton, describing her as a deeply loved child.
“You were the best daughter a father could ever ask for. Losing a child is a pain I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.”
“I hope heaven is real because i can’t imagine you being all alone by yourself. So god if you’re real please watch over my baby.
“Rest in Peace my sweet angel. Daddy loves you forever Rose.”
According to E! News, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that a death had taken place at Morton’s home and that it appeared to be accidental. The coroner’s office also confirmed the death, though an official cause had not yet been determined.

A statement from Morton’s management team later addressed why some followers may still have seen activity on his social media accounts after his announcement.
“We want to let everyone know that J’Amore’s social media accounts are currently being managed by his team,” the statement said.
“At this time, he is not online, posting content, responding to messages, or actively managing his pages.
“Management is keeping his platforms running while he and his family take time to grieve the heartbreaking loss of their baby girl.”
The statement concluded with a request for compassion and privacy.
“This is an incredibly difficult time, and we ask for your understanding, prayers, and respect for their privacy as they navigate this unimaginable loss.”
