Reports say Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are hosting what has been dubbed the wedding of the year at Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3, 2026, and one luxury wedding planner has shared the invitation tactic that could help prevent any details from leaking.
Fans are in a frenzy over the reported ceremony, which is said to be taking place in New York City on July 3 and drawing a guest list of friends, family and other high-profile names.
According to reporting on the event, a city permit shows the wedding is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. and could run until 4 a.m. the following morning, while a smaller rehearsal dinner was reportedly held on Thursday night behind tented screening for privacy.
Earlier in the day, blacked-out vehicles were seen arriving at the iconic venue, where several hundred guests are said to be expected.
Traffic disruption has also added to the speculation, with street closures in midtown Manhattan reportedly tied to the build-out as flowers, catering supplies and decor continue to be delivered to Madison Square Garden.
As crowds wait outside in hopes of spotting the couple or their guests, a luxury wedding planner has offered insight into the kind of measures usually involved in pulling off a high-profile celebrity ceremony.

Celebrity wedding planner Mark Niemierko said:
“I would expect device restrictions on site, decoy deliveries and dressed up trucks, watermarked or personalised invitations so any leak can be traced back to its source, and a very small circle of suppliers who actually know the full picture.
“Most people working an event like this only ever see their own small piece of the puzzle. Nobody gets the whole picture except the couple and one or two trusted planners.”
He also addressed when the public might actually see images or hear concrete details from the day itself.
“Only when the couple decide to share them, if they ever do fully.
“Fragments will keep surfacing from guests and locals in the days after, but anything definitive will most likely come from Taylor and Travis themselves, on their own terms, whenever that suits them.”

The reported celebration is unfolding during an intense New York City heatwave, with temperatures expected to climb into the high 90s and triple digits through the holiday weekend.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani appeared to allude to the rumored wedding while speaking at a press conference before the extreme weather set in.
He said:
“My recommendation to all New Yorkers is to stay inside and stay cool.
“And if you happen to be getting married at Madison Square Garden, you will be staying inside and you will be staying cool.”
Reports have also pointed to large food deliveries arriving at the venue, with some outlets suggesting they may have offered a glimpse at the menu for guests.
Among the items allegedly brought into Madison Square Garden were boxes of lobster meat, suggesting an upscale dining spread.
Chicken also appears to feature heavily, with reports of multiple varieties being delivered, including breasts, legs, boneless and blackened options.
Other supplies reportedly spotted included French fries, thick-cut onion rings, red and orange peppers, romaine lettuce, eggs, whole milk and heavy whipping cream.
A Krispy Kreme van was also said to have arrived at MSG, although it remains unclear whether the delivery was connected to the event or simply due to a nearby store location.
TMZ cited a source with ‘direct knowledge’ who claimed Swift ‘personally curated food stations’ for the wedding, with ‘specialty bites’ said to be coming from several of her favorite spots.
