Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding has dominated headlines this week, with fans, media outlets and political figures all weighing in on the biggest celebrity event of the summer.
The couple were married on Friday, July 3, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with the ceremony and celebration reportedly kept tightly under wraps. A number of celebrity guests were said to have attended, including Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez and Blake Lively.
After the ceremony, digital billboards outside the venue displayed a message confirming the pair had officially tied the knot.
‘JusT&T Married’
As expected, social media quickly filled with commentary, but one post soon stood out and began circulating widely online.
The official White House X account shared its own altered version of the sign on Friday, replacing the wedding message with a political jab.

The edited billboard read:
“Trump is your president,”
The accompanying caption said:
“IT’S HAPPENED!!’.
The post is the latest example of the long-running friction between President Donald Trump and the singer, whose criticism of him became especially public during the 2024 presidential race.
It also was not the first time Trump had inserted himself into the conversation around the couple’s celebrations this week.
On Thursday, July 2, he posted an Eras-style tour graphic featuring historical figures such as George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, along with a caption that referenced one of Swift’s lyrics.

Trump’s issues with Swift date back to the 2024 presidential election, when the artist publicly backed his opponent, then-Vice President Kamala Harris.
At the time, he posted the following on Truth Social:
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
He revisited the feud again in May 2025, also on Truth Social, when he claimed she was:
“No longer ‘hot'”
Even so, his remarks became more measured when he was asked about Swift and Kelce’s engagement in August 2025.
Speaking with reporters, he said he wished them:
‘a lot of luck’
He also described Kelce as:
‘a great player’
and
‘a great guy’
He went on to call Swift:
‘terrific person’
The couple, who started dating in the summer of 2023, announced their engagement in August 2025 through a joint social media post showing Kelce on one knee.
Swift captioned that announcement with:
“your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
With tight security reportedly surrounding Friday’s wedding, including blacked-out vehicles and an underground entrance used to shield the event from onlookers, it seems unlikely the couple paid much attention to the White House post in the moment.
Whether either of them chooses to respond once the celebrations are over remains unclear.
