Kendra Wilkinson has opened up about the less glamorous side of working in real estate, revealing that the job can come with some painful setbacks.
Now 41, Wilkinson was born on June 12, 1985 and first became widely known in the early 2000s through The Girls Next Door, also called The Girls of the Playboy Mansion, the reality series centered on the women living at Hugh Hefner’s mansion.
She left the mansion in 2009 after marrying former NFL player Hank Baskett. More than a decade later, Wilkinson stepped into real estate, a career move that was documented on her reality series Kendra Sells Hollywood, which ran for two seasons.
Although the show wrapped in 2023, she has remained active in the property business and recently gave followers a candid look at how difficult it can be behind the scenes. In an industry built on commissions, missed deals and unpredictable client decisions can make even routine work feel personal.
Sharing a photo of herself crying in her car on Instagram Stories, Wilkinson wrote:
“When a client fires you… after all the work you put in. Ya I’m struggling today guys.”
In a follow-up video, she became emotional as she spoke about the pressure she has been feeling.
“I know that we’re living in a world of struggle right now, I know that. But it’s just so hard right now,”
As she continued, Wilkinson said she felt she was doing her best in every area of her life.
“I feel like I’m doing everything right in my life. I’m raising my kids and putting them first. I’m doing everything good, I’m a good person. It’s just such a struggle right now,”
Wilkinson shares two children with Baskett: Hank Randall Baskett IV, 16, and Alijah Mary Baskett, 12.
The pair filed for divorce in 2018, and their split was finalized the following year, with shared custody agreed for their children.
She also described the emotional toll the job has been taking on her.
“Finding people to work with me, getting fired, people being rude and mean, it’s taking a toll,”
A couple of hours later, her tone had changed. Posting again from a different location, Wilkinson thanked fans for their supportive messages and prayers.
“Today was a rough one,”
“But I put in some eye drops, put on my face and I’m ready to take on a new day. Gotta get back up, right?”
She ended on a more hopeful note, saying she wanted to focus on gratitude and appreciate the things she still has in her life.
