Arnold Schwarzenegger marked his 79th birthday by hitting the gym and sharing an insider look at his birthday workout.

The actor and former California governor shared some photos from the Gold’s Gym in Venice, California, along with a strict declaration.
Born on July 30, 1947, in Thal, Austria, Schwarzenegger has built one of the most unique careers in entertainment and public life.
“I turn 79 today,” the Terminator star began in his birthday note. “I don’t want any gifts,” he elaborated.
Instead, he encouraged people to join his fitness app, Arnold’s Pump Club, and complete four workout programs to receive a free year of membership. Schwarzenegger said the app is about helping people live healthier lives rather than making money.
He explained that he has spent decades encouraging people to exercise and hopes to inspire millions to stay active.
In his X post, Schwarzenegger amplified the offer with full terms.
“Instead, my team and I decided to revolutionize the fitness industry — and we’re doing something crazy to celebrate. Here it is: Between today and Sunday, August 9, when you join the Pump Club app and complete four workout programs in your first year, you pay nothing. Zero. Nada. Zilch.”
The birthday workout itself carried on a decades-long tradition.
Schwarzenegger, at 79, has shifted his workout routine to focus on quality over quantity, now working out 90 minutes a day instead of five hours. Schwarzenegger has transitioned from heavy barbells to smoother resistance machines due to physical limitations, emphasizing the importance of movement for longevity.
His physique transformation over the years tells the story of adaptation.
The actor’s diet has evolved from consuming over 5,000 calories per day of red meat and eggs to an 80% plant-based diet focused on whole foods and fiber.
Despite his age, his commitment remains absolute.
“The basic exercises are the most underrated exercises,” he shared about his approach to fitness.

From the family side, his daughter Katherine posted a touching tribute.
Katherine Schwarzenegger shared a series of throwback photos of her father to celebrate the action star’s 79th birthday.

The first snap featured Arnold carrying his eldest daughter as a baby, who wore a pink clown outfit, followed by a picture of the pair on FaceTime. Sprinkled throughout were photos of the father of five with Katherine as a child, as well as a snap of Arnold with his ex-wife and Katherine’s mother, Maria Shriver.
“Happy Birthday, Dad…So lucky you’re ours… and even luckier our kids get you as Opa,” the 36-year-old wrote in the caption.
The birthday milestone comes as Schwarzenegger remains one of bodybuilding’s greatest icons.

“No fine print. If you show up and do the work, your first year is free. The payments are automatically sent back to your card.”
Schwarzenegger tied the offer directly to his core message.
