On Monday, Charlize Theron stepped onto the stage at a press conference for The Odyssey in Seoul in a glass-effect wrap skirt straight from Tom Ford’s fall 2026 runway.
Director Christopher Nolan, producer Emma Thomas and actors Matt Damon and Charlize Theron attended a press conference for The Odyssey at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul in Jongno District, central Seoul, on Monday ahead of the film’s Korean release on Aug. 5.
Theron went pantless and gave a peek at her sheer lingerie in an unbuttoned Tom Ford shirt and a transparent PVC skirt.

The actress wore an oversized, light blue-and-white vertically striped button-down shirt that featured a sharp white collar and contrasting white cuffs, left casually unbuttoned at the chest to expose a peek of her delicate black lace lingerie.
Layered underneath were nylon tights, which appeared to be polka-dotted but were actually monogrammed with tiny “TF” logos.

Her pinstripe top was buttoned up halfway to reveal a black braziere, while her see-through skirt provided a clear view of her lace mini dress.
Theron stepped out in a see-through wrap skirt from Tom Ford’s fall 2026 collection.
Presented by Haider Ackermann, the collection delivered sultry cutouts, polished corporate codes, and futuristic fabrics all in one.

She posted a carousel of snaps of her look on Instagram on August 3, captioning the photos “Calypso finally leaves the island… and lands in Seoul.”

Fans responded enthusiastically to the look in the comments.
“These looks are fire Charlize!” and “You are a beauty.”
Throughout the Asian leg of The Odyssey’s promotional run, Theron has been leaning into structural shapes and unconventional tailoring, striking a sharp contrast to the clean lines and solid colorways that she wore to complement the goddess dressing of her co-stars earlier this summer, having stepped out in a gilded Louis Vuitton chainmail dress one day, and an ornate silver-embroidered Givenchy gown the next.
Finished with patent leather pumps, barely-there glam, and her hair in tousled side part, Theron’s skirt-and-shirt styling turned a traditional outfit formula into a subversive statement.

Theron’s hair was styled in a tousled, chin-length blonde bob with soft, piecey waves parted to the side, completing her look with simple diamond earrings and soft luminous makeup featuring a natural complexion, subtle smoky eyeshadow, and a neutral nude-pink lip.
The look marked yet another bold fashion moment during the film’s Asia leg.
The second leg of The Odyssey press tour has seen Charlize take more risks, with her wardrobe becoming noticeably bolder and more provocative, not in the sense of revealing more skin, but in its willingness to challenge expectations.
The Academy Award winner portrays Calypso in Christopher Nolan’s epic movie.

Matt Damon, Charlize Theron, and director Christopher Nolan stepped out for the press conference on Monday in Seoul, South Korea, joined by Christopher’s wife, producer Emma Thomas.
As of August 2, the movie has earned $911 million at the worldwide box office and will cross the global $1 billion mark any day now.

The film has still not been released in the three biggest Asian territories, hitting theaters in South Korea on August 5, in China on August 14, and Japan on September 11.
In the viral moment driving this story, Theron’s custom Tom Ford ensemble drew attention for mixing corporate tailoring with lingerie-inspired details and avant-garde styling.
The PVC wrap skirt was layered over a striped shirt, lace shorts and polka-dot tights, creating an unusual mix of office shirting, lingerie-inspired details and glossy outerwear that sits somewhere between corporate dressing and fashion experimentation.
The look took some inspiration from the infamous plastic raincoat from the 2000s “American Psycho.”
The ensemble cemented Theron’s status as one of the film’s most fashion-forward ambassadors throughout its international promotional tour.
The Odyssey will hit theaters in South Korea on August 5.
